Wabi Sabi Paintings

Wabi Sabi Paintings — Surfaces & Layered Papers

In these works, the Wabi Sabi philosophy translates directly into paint: color acts not as decoration, but as a stable trace of time and an echo of light registering upon the surface. Every canvas and layered paper operates as a field of sensory resonance, where informal marks, chromatic veils, and deliberate pauses capture the essence of a fleeting moment, allowing its internal warmth to remain. These surfaces are the material remnants of a deep process of listening and emptying, where color activates as a living spiritual entity to regulate and order the sensitive chaos of inner space.

Each work is executed through the patient layering of pure mineral pigments, raw earth, oil, and acrylic mediums — a process that leaves within the surface the physical memory of the touch and the cyclical shift of natural light within the studio. Every composition is an unrepeatable threshold of stillness and presence. Original works on canvas and fine papers are unique pieces, delivered with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
