That special cosy fall feeling

Wabi Wabi Ceramic by Manuela Metra

I love that special fall feeling, home warmth, candles, a cup of tea to keep in my hands …. October is one of my favorite months, I like the light in certain mornings, the sky is clear and crystal-clear blue, I like the smell of air, when it feels that it’s autumn, I like the pungent air in the morning, and it’s hot in the middle of the day. I love the colors of October, a floral tones of rich, sumptuous and full of light, summer legends. This set of sensations has always inspired my artistic work, the colors, the sense of intimacy of the everyday object, from which my ceramic originates, the golden and glorious atmosphere of autumn. I think it’s the Wabi Sabi season for excellence, and I think it’s the most picturesque season of all. I also love winter, but we’ll talk about it later. During these months I have been dealing with several things, the ceramic laboratory in the hospital, which I am responsible for, in the Pediatric Oncology Department has now completed a year, giving a truly educational and important experience. I resumed working my beloved pottery after having been stuck for a shoulder problem; I have set up the Atelier after the move and finally I am setting up the e-commerce site, currently undergoing restructuring, and will be active within one month. An important, fun and stressful part, at this time, was the study of the packaging. I let myself be inspired once more by the warm tones and aesthetic taste Wabi Sabi, after studying for months an infinite series of Japanese packaging. It is currently being worked on by a craftsman who manufactures custom boxes, with a Japanese paper. And then there was the issue of rabbit, in fact I wanted to put the logo on both pottery and box, so in the end after a long time I was successful thanks to the help of competent overseas craftsmen. What would Alice do without the White Rabbit?
