Positive attitude about changes

I have always been a lover of changes, of novelty and of the strength that always springs from new things, whether they are on the physical plane, how to redecorate, buy a habit, a house, be they of a more subtle nature, inherent in the soul sphere, such as a new love, an adventure, a journey, the beginning of a new job. But there are also profound changes, those that one way or another do not choose properly lightly, are complex and long metamorphoses. Usually announced by some bad news, which inexorably escapes our control. The event in question leads us to react more or less quickly according to our nature, but nevertheless begins to activate an emergency plan.  So we think about how it is better to deal with it, and all the possibilities, the phases of the plan, are alluded to. These metamorphoses are the most difficult of the changes, they are insidious, but in any case they represent an opportunity. I do not know why, but always the people who meet me tell a lot about themselves. Often open to personal confidences, and I have noticed over time how the attitude towards these radical changes that life brings to us, may determine the difference between a happy outcome or, on the contrary, a long inexorable torment. It will also be that I decided to make about positive view my personal exercise, but I firmly believe that since the problem exists, it is worth seeing a possibility to be grasped. I found very beautiful and useful in this sense a text that was recommended during the years of training, is titled “A Psychologist in the lager” by Viktor Frankl. In this truly enlightening text, the author retraces the years spent in the concentration camps, but without dwelling on the events and details, but rather on survival strategies, and analyzes the state of mind of the prisoners. Those who have a positive attitude, who are able to see the beauty of a sunset even in that situation, and are able to hope for a future are those who are saved. Certainly it is an exemplary and extreme situation, yet it establishes a parallel between positive attitude and survival, it is not a trivial matter. When you begin to embrace a deep choice then many things happen, as in fairy tales, and the real adventure begins. Around us all say what they think, a little you ask for advice, a little you want to do it yourself, but in any case the choice to ache always do with freedom. Then you need to find your center and eliminate what is superfluous, like when you leave for a trip. It will not be easy, but it will be an adventure.
